State Inventory Data Status

Kentucky 2006

The 2006 tables for Kentucky are based on data collected for inventory years 2001-2006 (A moving average based on subcycle 1,4 & 5 of Cycle 5 and subcycles 2 & 3 of Cycle 6). Estimates of growth, removals and mortality (GRM) were not generated for 2006. Data limitations still exist due to the transition from the periodic to annual inventory design. Updated GRM estimates will be available beginning with the 2007 data. Users should continue to use the estimates of GRM from the 2004 statewide report: http://www.srs.fs.usda.gov/pubs/rb/rb_srs129.pdf. Users should use caution when making comparisons to other surveys due to changes in inventory procedures and definitions. Guidelines for calculating estimates of Standard Error (SE) for subtotals of the data are provided in the Inventory Methods document.
